Blush & Black

Before jumping out to the Primitive Culture fashion show Sunday night, Ken and I scooted up the bluff for some shots overlooking the city. It is a little ironic that I would choose the top of a hill for these shoes. One night last year, I was biking up the Crescent Heights bluff to join a party Andrea was hosting and because my rickety old bike doesn’t have many gears, I pedaled to a halt half way up (don’t judge! It is a seriously steep hill!). When I tried to put my foot down, the pedal was firmly planted in the bottom of my sole. I proceeded to timber sideways and arrive at the party with some cuts, but also a smile. How many times have people told me I’m crazy to bike in heels? And have I learned my lesson? Heck no!
