Bottleneck to Breakneck

This fall’s studio updates, the addition of a new team member, and the decision to move back to manual patternmaking has transformed the speed of production in my studio from bottlenecked to breakneck. We are still very much a slow fashion studio, but the business now functions beyond the hours I spend in it and we’ve seen major progress on client wait times, new product development, and content creation. I’ve missed sharing with my community all of the beautiful garments that pass through our hands, scissors, and needles. And nothing makes me giddier than the thought of a rainbow of jackets on the rack in a full size range as we tick off a list of missing base samples whose completion used to feel fantasy. All of this goodness, created alongside a synergistic sewing companion, in an improved workspace has made me one happy little maker!
