360° Design
The wardrobe from 1974’s Chinatown is revered in fashion forums, with a large chunk of that attention being directed at the back of Jack Nicholson’s suit jackets. From belts to pleats, his blazers show elements that celebrate all angles of his outfit, just like many of our designs.
For this editorial shoot, Ken and I wanted to give a nod to the classic neo-noir film by shooting on the dam at Glenmore Reservoir. I also channeled Faye Dunaway’s on-set equestrian style with my high boot styling of our latest release, the Belted Safari Jacket. I love that, like many of our designs, the back of this jacket is as carefully considered as the front. And although 360° design is rare in modern fashion manufacturing, it’s beauty and function still have an important place in our studio.
